The third game of the season opening tripleheader in girl's basketball at the Lady Bomber Classic. A very sluggish start offensively for both teams. Score was tied 8-8 after one quarter. The first three quarters were marred by turnovers, fouls, and jump balls. A great defensive battle between the Rockets Breanna Moore and the Bombers Taylor Claudon. Both scrappy defenders gave each other fits down the floor throughout the game. Rushville-Industry led 22-21 heading into the fourth quarter, but a 19-4 run in the final eight minutes for Macomb gave them the (40-26) win. Cassie Combs came up big throughout the game, especially in the fourth quarter where she scored 8 points. Combs had a double-double (14 points/12 rebounds).
